Maternity Fashion

Yup!  You guessed it!  We're going to have a baby!  Here's a few of my maternity fashions from the past few weeks.  Moved into maternity clothes a few weeks ago.

Love this maxi dress.  Definitely going to wear it a lot through this pregnancy.

Maternity Maxi Dress: Old Navy, $25
Cardigan: Old Navy, $15
Maternity Tank: Old Navy, $7
Sandals: Forever21, $5

Just like the Maxi Dress above, this denim skirt will definitely be a staple during this pregnancy as well.  Love it.

Maternity tank: Old Navy, $7
Cardigan: Target, $12
Bella Band: Target, $17
Maternity Denim Skirt: Old Navy, $25
Brown Wedges: Target, unknown

Everything here is non-maternity.  One reason I'm glad I own a lot of empire waisted dresses and stretchy skirts.  Not going to have to buy a whole lot of maternity clothes this summer which is nice.

Dress: Target, $10 clearance
Scarf: Gift
Denim Jacket: Old Navy, $30
Boots: Payless, $25

Everything here as well is non-maternity.  I'm really glad this black dress has shirring on the side, ruching, and some give.  It will serve me well till I get really huge.

Dress: Limited, $45
Cardigan: Old Navy, $15
Shoes: IronFist, $30

Mostly non-maternity here.  The tank is, and I have the Bella Band on underneath because the skirt is unzipped part way in order for me to wear it.

Cardigan: Target, $15
Maternity Tank: Old Navy, $7
Bella Band: Target, $17
Skirt: NY&Co, unknown
Shoes: Payless $15

Just for fun, my baby bump!

Again, all non-maternity and again why I'm glad I own lots of dresses.

Dress: Target, $20
Denim Jacket: Old Navy, $30
Red Patent Leather Shoes: Candies, Kohl's $25

Non-maternity here again and all pure comfort.

Dress: Gift
Denim Jacket: Old Navy, $30
Sandals: Forever21, $5

Go Jayhawks!  Too bad the team didn't win the championship but I supported them nonetheless! Rock Chalk!

Cardigan: Old Navy, $15
Maternity Tank: Old Navy, $7
Jayhawk taken from a different shirt and pinned on for the day
Maternity Denim Skirt: Old Navy, $20
Polka Dot Wedges: Payless, $15

"Arguh Matey's!"

They finally came in.  *THE* boots I have been lusting over for-ev-er.  Thanks to my parents giving me my christmas gift money early, I took them out for a night on the town last night and what a night it was.  Aside from the regular breaking in pains, they are actually quite comfortable (even one of the girls said that when she put them on for fun later in the evening).  They definitely garnered lots of stares and comments of approval "Dang! Them boots are fierce girl!" *laugh* We're going to have a lot of fun my Corsair boots and I...and I can't wait!

Ensemble's from the last month or so

Obviously you can tell I haven't really been on the blogging streak as of late.  Not sure why, maybe I've just been too busy, maybe I feel as if noone out there is interested, or maybe I've just been lazy.  Whatever the reason, I've been slacking in my duties.  So, in answer to a colleagues question about where I get my clothing, and if I *ever* dress casually (*laugh* YES, I do), here are some selections from this past month or two.

This is my "Rocker-chick" look
Dress: Mossimo, Target, $8
Biker Jacket: F21, $30
Scarf: Mossimo, Target, $8
Leggings: TJMaxx, $4

Sleek and sophisticated

Scarf: Mossimo, Target $8
Top: Mossimo, Target $8

I *do* dress casually! This was for dinner out one night before Thanksgiving
Scarf: Mossimo, Target $8
Shirt: Mossimo, Target $5
Skinny Jeans: Mossimo, $15
Military Boots: ZooShoo.com $20 (?)

This outfit is in the works.  I want to wear these boots, but not sure about them for school.  I've had nothing but good reviews on them from friends, and even colleagues when I've asked for opinions, so we'll see if I pull them out anytime soon.

Two fall choices

I finally had to give into two things these past few weeks.  The first of which was replacing my black pencil skirt with one that not only *fits* me, but isn't held together with safety pins.  We had a good run, that black pencil skirt and I, but it's time for the 2011 version to take it's place.  This was Tuesday at school and it was quite the effort to get dressed, get to school and make it through the day.  I was out sick Monday, and ultimately wound up taking the afternoon of Wednesday and all day Thursday (no school today) off as well due to the sinus infection finally taking me down and forcing me to stop and rest.  I should have worn flats this day as I was a little unsteady on my feet, but sometimes dressing up makes me feel better so we went with the new pencil skirt and heels instead.

Skirt $20, Shirt $13: Mossimo, Target
Shoes $25: Charlotte Russe
Necklace $30: Local Artist

Last Thursday was chilly enough that this short sleeve wrap sweater was just the ticket.  I'm excited to report that I've purchased my first Groupon ever to get my boots fixed up for the winter.  Every winter I get the heels of my favorite boots re-capped.  If you've never done this before you're missing out because not only is it an inexpensive way to extend the life of your boots, but it saves you from having to buy an entirely new pair every couple of years.  Usually the place I go charges $20 per pair of boots but this Groupon is $10 for TWO PAIRS of boots to be re-capped.  *Awesome!*  Dropping them off on Monday after school.  Get excited!

Sweater $20, Shirt $8, Denim Trousers $20: Mossimo, Target
Boots $60: Two Lips (best investment ever!)

Fall is here and so are the boots and scarves; my old friends.

Whether we like it or not, fall has arrived in these parts and while some warmer weather is going to come back for a few days, we better face facts that winter is on its way and closer than we all want to believe.  Then again, that's okay because it means it's time for my two favorite types of clothing; scarves and coats, and of course my stiletto boots.

Here are a few combos I've put together over the past few weeks.  I've been so busy at school working with the musical that I haven't had time to do much more than sleep, be at school, and eat periodically.  The brown biker jacket is new this season, everything else I've owned for *years*.  Enjoy!
